I’m Shaquan, also known as The Peoples Doula. This title truly embodies who I show up as to the families I support. I am here for YOU.
I always knew that I wanted to do something super impactful in my community (Chi-Town!! LOL), but I had no idea what that looked like. Until one day I happened upon another doulas work which led me down a rabbit hole of research.
This research opened me up to a completely different world, a place where families had options in regards to where and how they were going to birth their child. I literally did not know that I had choices during my pregnancy, and I also knew that I couldn’t have been the only person who simply had no idea. And thus my journey began…
Through education, support, and some good ol’ elbow grease I will do my part in helping to bring your birth vision to to fruition. I work by your side as you prepare to bring forth new life; present in each moment with a spirit of love and compassion.
